Lincoln’s Navigation System Will Soon Get New Maps

Being a pat of the Ford Motors company, Lincoln, a very famous luxury brand is constantly updating its software and developing new novelties, which will be added into its technical side. However, Lincoln is not alone in the development, the mother company – Ford is also keeping its cars at the forefront, thus, whenever it has the possibility to add sme value to the Lincoln brand it does. This was the case with the new partnership of Ford with the company NOVATEQ.

The company NAVTEQ, is a provider of digital maps, traffic data and location – all in all providing the facilities for navigation systems, and also geo-location services, as well as mobile advertising. This company will provide their own maps for navigation system, Sync MyFord Touch of the Ford Motor Company. Which in the future will also be integrated into the systems of the Lincoln cars.

Under the agreement, NAVTEQ is a provider of mapping data for the infotainment system with navigation system SYNC MyFord Touch with support for SD-cards in North America, South America, the Middle East, Russia and Europe and other parts of the world. Based on maps from NAVTEQ there are already over 24 million car navigation systems worldwide. Thus, Lincoln awaits for the specially tailored system for its cars.
