As we all know, that the Lincoln brand is owned by Ford Company, the CEO and top managers are mainly changing the focus on the brands constantly in order to keep both lines competitive. Since the positioning of the brands is different, we wanted to know more, what the top managers in Ford think about Lincoln.

In an interview with Automotive News magazine, the vice president of Ford Global Product Development – a specialist named Derrick Cusack, spoke about the future of the luxury and legendary brand Lincoln. According to him, the luxury brand will no longer engage in badge-engineering, but will fully focus on the concept creating and will develop their own models.

If earlier, Lincoln was more of a elaborator on what he had – trying to improve the old models and sell them, as the calling card of the past and the celebrities of the other times. We have to admit, says Derrick Cusack, that Lincoln was still self-sustainable, and was doing great in the market, even if we were not producing new models for it.
