Lincoln Will Produce Armored Cars

The security of the drivers has long been a question for the leading car manufacturers of the world. However, in many cases the security is a trade off between the design and safety of the people in the car. When you want to buy the car yourself, most probably you know which side to choose, but at the same time, marketing department of every car manufacturer is interested in profit maximization, therefore emphasize the design. But this is not the case with Lincoln, as they are going to produce armed cars.

On Wednesday, the representatives of Lincoln’s officially announced the launch of factory-built armored modified full-size sedan Town Car. This innovation will own the name of Lincoln Town Car Ballistic Protection Series, and will be sold through dealers in the U.S. and other countries.

The process of assembling an armored vehicle will consist of two stages. First, the base sedan is going to the Ford plant in Michigan, and then sent to the venture International Armoring Corporation, which will hold all the work of booking up the body – from the installation of armored bullet-proof ceramics to related glasses. Externally, the armored Town Car will not differ from the basic model. By the way, it is worth noting that work on the Town Car Ballistic Protection Series lasted almost for two years.
