Lincoln Will Build Rear-drive Sedan to Compete with BMW

The intense competition in the world of luxury cars continues for ages and is not going to stop any time soon. Every car concern is involved in such a battle, if it wants to sell its cars. However, it is possible to say that for the luxury cars the market is more demanding and more picky, thus the developers have to work hard in order to satisfy the needs and wants of this type of consumers. In such a way, Lincoln Company is building new sedan, which is supposed to beat the BMW models.

This famous North American company headquarters and bosses discussed the possibility of developing a new four-door car with a drive to the rear axle, the primary goal of which will be to push aside the sedans developed by BMW. For the construction of a new rear-wheel drive sedan there will be used a sports car platform from Ford Mustang, the world premiere of which will take place in 2015. In front of this Lincoln model there will be established a suspension of a MacPherson type, on the back it will have an independent suspension, as the newspaper ‘Car and Driver’ reports. For the base this car will get rear-wheel drive and top-end version of this new Lincoln can be equipped with the all-wheel drive.
