2016 Lincoln MKX was introduced at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show

After presenting some very stylish products like MKZ sedan and MKC crossover, Lincoln carmaker has introduced a next generation of the MKX midsize crossover at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show. The novelty will be a global model of the American brand. In addition to the US and Canada, MKX will be sold in Mexico, China, South Korea and the Middle East. It is possible that in the future coupe will be released in other markets.

The new 2016 MKX model is made with two power trains: a 3.7-liter naturally aspirated V6 engine, developing 300 horsepower and 379 Nm of torque, and 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine with 330 horsepower and 370 lb-ft of torque. The car will be available with both front and all-wheel drive and with a six-speed automatic transmission.

The equipment of the new 2016 Lincoln MKX will include adaptive cruise control systems, circular view, blind spots monitoring, as well as a system of preventing of a frontal collision.

There also will be available Lincoln Drive Control chassis system with three modes: Normal, Sport and Comfort. Depending on the choice the electronics will change the stiffness of the suspension, the response to the accelerator pedal; it will change the settings of the transmission, stabilization and steering system. In addition, Lincoln MKX will feature Auto Hold, which will automatically hold the brake when idling in traffic jams.

The design of the 2016 MKX’s interior includes plenty of luxuries, such as 22-way adjustable comfortable front seats that will help you to reduce muscle fatigue, a new Revel premium audio system. HID headlights are standard but the carmaker is offering full-LED units.
