Lincoln Blackwood debuted in 1999 in Los Angeles. Back then the truck was seen more as exotic car, but the current popularity of expensive SUVs and pickups suggests that the designers and constructors of Lincoln simply knew what will be popular in future.

Blackwood is based on SUV Lincoln Navigator, and from this model it took over the front suspension and engine, but the rear suspension is entirely original. Engine – V-shaped eight volume 5.4 liters and 300 hp a four-speed-automatic transfers torque to the rear axle fitted with cross-axle differentials. Unfortunately, so far there has not appeared a all-wheel drive version of the truck. But to go with confidence in all driving conditions for Blackwood there was installed electronic traction control system.

A distinctive feature of the external design was without doubt the imitation of wood trim inside and outside of the body of the side of Blackwood Lincoln model. Because of these expensive panels, it is hard to imagine that this pickup will be used as a delivery truck. Even though the cover of the panels is strong and reliable, it is still a pity, if any oversized load will leave some scratches on it.
